Vision & Mission

Vision

New Life exists to declare, display, be devoted to, & delight in the glory of God in the saving kingship of Jesus Christ.

  1. Declare: as those saved by King Jesus, we are not shy about making God’s greatness known from his word in preaching, evangelism, and discipleship.
  2. Display: As those saved by King Jesus, God showcases his glory in our lives by his Spirit transforming us into the image of Christ, so that we reflect his character.
  3. Devoted: As those saved by King Jesus, we are sold out to seeing God honored as we follow Christ our King
  4. Delight: As those saved by King Jesus we value, treasure, and find our satisfaction in the God revealed in the scriptures.

Mission

The Mission of New Life Christian Church is to make disciples of the nation for King Jesus (Matthew 28:118-20; Acts 1:8; Col 1:28-29; 1Peter 2:9)

This mission is fleshed out in 4 commitments

A Commitment to the Person of Christ.

In response to the gospel, we turn to Jesus to follow him as our master, trusting in him alone to rescue us from sin’s penalty and power. We publicly identify with him through baptism and devote ourselves to speaking to him in prayer and listening to him by reading the bible.

(Matt 16:13-28; 28:18-20; John 3:3-6; Acts 2:37-39; Rom 10:8-10; Eph 2:1-10; 1Thess 1:9-10)

A Commitment to the Authority of Christ

We are committed to knowing Christ’s word by both being instructed in it and studying it for ourselves; to obeying what the bible says; and helping and promoting obedience in the lives of other believers

(Matt 28:18-20; Luke 8:21; 9:23-27;14:25-35; John 14:15; Gal 5:22-23; Heb 10:24; 1John 2:1-6)

A Commitment to the Community (Church) of Christ

We are committed to faithfully gathering as a local church on the Lord’s day, using our gifts to edify the church, practice hospitality, and live out the “one-another” commands of Scripture

(Rom 12:3-8; 1Cor 12:4-11; Eph 4:11-16; Heb 10:23-25; 1Peter 4:9-11 the ‘one-another’ passages)

A Commitment to the Mission of Christ

We are committed to cultivating continual growth in our grasp of the gospel; to clearly, graciously, & boldly communicating the gospel; to intentionally investing in the spiritual growth of others; and to intentionally investing in the spread of the gospel and making disciples across the globe.

(Matt 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Col 1:28-29)
